Starring Monte Hale !!Newcomer Monte Hale, trying to get a job in western films, meets young Danny McCoy (Bobby Blake) and his sister Gloria (Adrian Booth) at the studio. Danny is trying to get his trick horse, “Pardner” into movies. Monte helps Danny by auditioning his horse but gets the job instead of Pardner. Jealous of Monte’s success, Mason and his stooge Ace Hanlon (Fred Graham) sabotage Monte’s performance and injure Pardner. But Hale doesn’t take it for long and fights for his billing. Along the way Monte introduces Gloria to other studio Western stars, Roy Rogers, Allan Lane, Don Red Barry and Dale Evans. OUT CALIFORNIA WAY is the second of Republic’s “guest star” Westerns, and has a very strong cast. Filmed in Trucolor, it runs 67 minutes, and was originally released in 1946. Directed by Lesley Selander. An all-ages, regions-free presentation, digitally remastered in NTSC format, on a single DVD-R disc that should play on any standard DVD player
