Saloon owner uses Roy Barcroft to muscle local landowners plagued by draught
to sell out cheap in a land grab swindle. When released in 1951 IN OLD AMARILLO ran
67 minutes but was cut to 55 for television. This version restores 5 minutes bringing the
run time to one hour. Unfortunately the added footage is from a less than perfect print. Still
this version is the most complete available. Missing footage includes Roy Rogers singing
the title song and a duet with Roy and Penny Edwards.
CODE OF THE PRAIRIE starring SUNSET CARSON and SMILEY BURNETTE (1944). Outlaws led by the unsuspected
