Bringing progress to the Old West was a difficult task as plans to continue telegraph lines West of St. Joe into the frontier are met with sabotage, betrayal and murder. Ken Mason (Clayton Moore), seemingly an Eastern “dude”, heads up the construction of the line, which is fraught with peril at every turn. However, Mason is the grandson of legendary freedom fighter, Zorro, so he dons a black outfit to counter the many outlaw attackes perpetrated by the “helpfull” town blacksmith, Crane (played by Gene Roth). Riding to protect the new frontier as the GHOST OF ZORRO, Mason provides thrills aplenty. Starring Clayton Moore, Pamela Blake, Roy Barcroft and and George J. Lewis, this 1949, 69-minute, black & white feature version of the classic Western serial was directed by Fred C. Bannon. It is a regions-free, all-ages presentation digitally remastered in NTSC format with an interactive menu and presented on a single DVD-R, which should play on any standard DVD player.
