Flash Gordon: Spaceship to the Unknown DVD

Scientists are startled to find a run away planet rushing through space towards Earth. Fortunately, eccentric inventor Dr. Zarkoff (FRANK SHANNON) has constructed a space ship and, after convincing sportsman Flash Gordon (BUSTER CRABBE) and his companion Dale Arden (JEAN ROGERS) to with him, flies to Mongo to head off disaster. On the other world they encounter warring factions headed by evil emperor Ming The Merciless (CHARLES MIDDLETON) and Prince Barin (RICHARD ALEXANDER). Flash boldly faces many perils like Lion Men, Hawk Men, dragons and octosacks. Lucky for him, Mings beautiful daughter Aura (PRISCILLA LAWSON) falls for the hunky Earthman. All this fantasy and romance is based on the popular newspaper strip created by Alex Raymond. Originally released in 1936 as a 13 episode serial, SPACESHIP TO THE UNKNOWN is the feature version now restored in this quality release.
