THE AMAZING COLOSSAL WOMAN (2016) B&W, 61 minutes. ISBN number 7994302097567
She's back... bigger and badder than ever! It's GARGANTA the giant woman created by the Creature From Galaxy 27 to cause destruction on the planet Earth. But first Big G must catch her cheating husband and crush him under her gigantic foot. That'll teach him!
This is a redux of the 2007 AMAZING COLOSSAL WOMAN movie with big, big improvements. The running time of the film has been expanded to over an hour and includes many new giantess scenes. The cast has swelled to over 55 including the addition of new characters such as intrepid TV newswoman Toni Garland (TONI CLAIR), off-center eccentric scientist Dr. Bernard Quadrant (SCOTT MENA), serious giant woman saver Dr. Lance Hobart (ROBERT SOLLIEN) and Army leader determined to "Take her DOWN!" General Wyndham T. Morris (BILL FREDERICKS).
Unleashing her rage upon downtown Orlando citizens, Garganta (BRENNA BARRY) considers normal sized people hardly more than "Little ants!" ripe for squishing. A favorite target seems to be screaming children but ambulance drivers, policemen, Army troops and filmmakers also get flattened by her enormous feet.
Colonel Boyle is flown in by helicopter pilot Ace Corrigan (CHRIS CASTEEL) to sedate the giantess with a huge hypodermic needle. Rendered unconscious, Garganta is transported to an airplane hanger where she is bound by heavy chains. This only angers her upon awakening and she breaks free to smash down several metropolitan buildings. General Morris then declares out and out war on the giantess ordering heavy artillery, tanks and jet fighters into the fray.
All the action is reported by TV anchorman Ernie Shadowsky (MIKE ACORD) and in the field reporter Toni Garland (TONI CLAIR) who delivers blow by blow descriptions of Garganta's final battle.
Special Cameo appearances are featured including JOSHUA KENNEDY (who as MALEVO, delivers the rousing opening narration), DON GLUT (famed film director, author and dinosaur expert), LON MADNIGHT (TV horror host whose show, CRYPT OF HORROR, is interrupted to bring Garganta up-dates), the beautiful MARIA PARIS (who, as AC Comics' sexy super heroine THE BLUE BULLETEER, guest stars on Lon's show) and King Of The 'B's' actor, director, producer JOEL D. WYNKOOP who dares to film the giantess up close and personal (memorial services cancelled on account of destruction).
AMAZING COLOSSAL WOMAN is filmed in SOLOPTIVISION that enhances the black and white retro image with a "comic book" appearance. GARGANTA originated in AC Comics' title, FEMFORCE. There is a whole lot going on in this ultra low budget comic book thriller. www.accomics.com
